In December 2019, a tender was announced for the delivery of 201 metro trains for the Kampur and Agra metropolitan areas. Given that the tender was for the Indian market, the competition was intense, with not only European manufacturers but also organizations from China and other parts of Asia participating.

The client had very specific and high demands regarding the metro trains they planned to order. Leveraging our extensive experience and knowledge from previous projects, we were able to develop a proposal that was ultimately selected by the client.

The client’s requirements were not limited to technical solutions; the final design also had to meet the client’s business expectations. These included factors such as passenger capacity, maintenance frequency, and service schedules. Another critical requirement was the delivery schedule, with the expectation that the trains would be delivered according to the agreed timeline. Additionally, the client wanted their team to be trained on how to operate the newly ordered trains.

By utilizing our global engineering and production capabilities, we created a proposal that not only met the technical specifications but also delivered significant business value. Our offer was the most attractive among the consortia competing for the tender, which led to the signing of the contract in 2020.
